All produce for sale in the shop is manufactured on site, with Michael as head pastry cook of an experienced and talented team. All products are carefully made with the best ingredients and under strict supervision in order to maintain the quality Zimt is becoming known for. An extensive range of large cakes for take away and celebrations such as weddings and birthdays is also offered with spectacular decoration. Christmas season is an unique experience at Zimt, with hand made puddings, gingerbread houses, fruit mince tarts and traditional Austrian fruit bread, ‘stollen’, as well as chocolate trees and meringue Santas.
Similarly, Easter is a time for celebration at Zimt, with fresh spicy hot cross buns, gingerbread eggs & chicks and meringue bunnies. Many customers choose to enjoy their purchase in the café with an accompanying coffee or drink. Comfortable bench seating, chairs, couches and tables create a welcoming environment with the pleasant, aromatic smells of the bakehouse seeping through to the café, an atmosphere that’s warm, busy and interesting for customers to experience. |

Zimt offers a range of gluten free, egg free, dairy free and nut free products, and can cater for birthdays and other occasions where food allergies and intolerance are often difficult issues to navigate. The chefs are always improving their recipes and looking for new ways to cater for people who find themselves restricted in their enjoyment of such delectable treats.
Sadly, Zimt cannot guarantee the people who are severely allergic to nuts that any product they produce is safe for them. Nuts are part of so many Zimt products, their presence in the bakehouse makes is impossible to guarantee against their effect.
